Certification Maintenance
The Certification Maintenance program upholds both the objectives of the CPIM and CFPIM programs and APICS' vision to promote lifelong learning. Requirements for maintaining certification can be met through multiple sources and a variety of professional development activities intended to help you prepare for the challenges ahead and to maintain your professional edge.
Every five years following initial certification, participants will have the opportunity to maintain their certification status through a system of points (75 for CPIM and 100 for CFPIM). It's based on their involvement in the following four activity categories: Continuing education, presentation, publications, and educational development, service to the resource management profession, and professional membership.
You must submit a Certification Maintenance Application due five years from
the same month that your initial certification was received. In order to find
out more information about the Certification Maintenance Program, please contact
