Meet West Jersey APICS Instructors
Ralph Fariello, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP
|
Ralph is currently serving as the chapter VP of Education. He retired
from Lucent Technologies following a career of over thirty years in various
disciplines within the Bell System (Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent). In
the last 10 years of his career he was in the Consumer Products Division
(design, manufacture and marketing of cellular, corded & cordless
telephones, answering systems and telephone accessories). In Consumer
Products he held a variety of positions which gave him a broad perspective
of the consumer products industry. Most recently he was the Director of
Inventory and was integrally involved in the implementation of SAP and
Manugistics. Since retirement, Ralph did consulting work for Philips
Consumer Communications and Lucent Technologies Consumer Products. He has
been teaching APICS courseware for over ten years.

Denise Demkowicz, CPIM, CSCP
|
Denise Demkowicz has many years of supply chain management experience in
progressively more responsible positions within the transportation, power
generation, environmental and pharmaceuticals industries. Currently she works
for GeneraMedix Inc., a privately held virtual generic injectable pharmaceutical
company. Virtual in that manufacturing for all products takes place with partners
or contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) located in North America,
Europe, Middle East and Asia. She is responsible for the demand forecasting
and purchase of finished products and active pharmaceutical ingredients; and
acts as the liaison between internal and external teams for new product
introductions and subsequent commercial supply. In addition, she works closely
with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure all necessary documents
for the USFDA, USDA and US Customs are provided for the timely release of
ambient and cold chain shipments which travel via air and sea modes into the
US. She also manages the inventory and end-of-life destruction for commercial
products that reside at a third party logistics provider.
Denise’s educational background includes a BS in Business Administration from
Centenary College and she is certified in Multi-Modal Dangerous Goods
Transportation, Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).

Ron Dolan, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP
|
Ron has 40 years of
management and supply chain experience. He is currently the Director of
Education for the National Kitchen & Bath Association and an adjunct
professor for Fox Valley Technical College, teaching APICS courses on-line.
He began as a Systems Engineer and Marketing Representative for IBM,
became a Data Processing Manager, MIS Manager, and MIS Director for
different manufacturing companies, VP of a consulting firm, President of his
own consulting firm for more than 12 years, Regional Services Director for
an ERP vendor, and Faculty Coordinator and adjunct professor at Centenary
College. Concurrent with much of his civilian career, Ron served for over
20 years as an officer in the active and reserve components of the US Army,
retiring at the rank of colonel.
Ron’s educational background includes a BS and MA in Education from Seton
Hall University and diplomas from the Command and General Staff College and
the National Defense University. He’s a Certified Fellow in Production and
Inventory Management (CFPIM), Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM),
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and certified Facilitator for
APICS’ Train the Trainer (TTT) and Learning Dynamics (LDI) courses. He has
a New Jersey Secondary Education Teaching Certificate and a teaching
certificate to teach APICS courses on-line from Wisconsin. |
Mike Wolfahrt, CPIM
|
Mike is in his 20th year with Novartis
Pharmaceuticals, having also worked at the former Ciba-Geigy
Pharmaceuticals. He has held a number of supply chain roles throughout his
career, both at headquarters and production facilities. Mike has experience
in both raw material and finished goods Planning, Purchasing, and Warehouse
supervision. In addition, he spent eight years in pharmaceutical
Production, including Head of Novartis US Packaging Operations.
In his current role as a Senior Project Manager in the
Supply Chain Management group, he is responsible for a wide variety of
supply chain projects, including new product launches, transfers,
in-licensing, divestitures and life-cycle management.
Academically, Mike is a graduate of the Penn State
University Smeal College of Business, with a major in Supply Chain
Management. In addition, he holds a Management MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson
University. |
